Live Web Chat: Speak Out on Suicide
CTVNews.ca StaffCTV's Canada AM has been devoting special attention to the issue of suicide with a series of stories all week -- leading up to a special edition Town Hall this morning.
Below, you can take part in a Live Web Chat before, during and after the 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET Town Hall, so you can discuss suicide and mental health issues on a more personal level with members of the panel and special guests.
We will kick things off at 7 a.m. ET.
Let's break the silence, speak out, and offer hope.
Live Chat participants will include:
Dr. David Goldbloom - senior medical advisor at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and vice-chair of the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
Bill Wilkerson - co-founder of the Global Business and Economic Roundtable on Addiction and Mental Health. He is a mental health strategy advisor to the RCMP.
Rory Butler - founder and CEO of Your Life Counts -- a registered charity dedicated to encouraging youth and families to hold on to life in the toughest times.
Jason Carey - counselling manager for Kids Help Phone.
Rob Frenette - co-founder of Bullying Canada, a national anti-bullying charitable organization.
