Maxime Desjardins died at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario on Monday, three days after a fire ripped through the home where he lived with his parents in Alexandria, Ont.
The 19-month-old boy became the fourth victim of the blaze that raged in the early hours of Friday morning.
His father, 26-year-old Martin Desjardins, managed to get young Maxime out of the house alive.
But the boy's mother, Sarah Cholette, 22, and siblings Chloe, 3, and Jacob, nine months, died in the fire.
Desjardins remains in serious condition in a burn unit at a Toronto hospital.
