Cause of death for Kitchener man released

Waterloo Region police have announced the cause of death for an elderly Kitchener man found at a home on Perkell Place Monday morning.

Spokesperson Olaf Heinzel says "As a result of the continuing investigation and confirmed by the post mortem examination, the cause of death has been determined to be due to an underlying medical condition."

Police were called to the Stanley Park area home just after 5 a.m. on Monday.

Because there were a number of questions that needed answering, the homicide detectives were involved in the investigation. The body was sent to Hamilton for the post mortem examination.
