Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with Prime Minster Stephen Harper in Ottawa this March, CTV News has learned.

Netanyahu will be meeting with Harper March 2 before a scheduled stop at the White House to meet with U.S. President Barack Obama on March 5.

It will be the Israeli prime minister's first face-to-face meetings with Harper and Obama since last September.

The Harper government has been a strong supporter of Israel during its time in office.

In early February, Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird said Canada is Israel's top ally, surpassing even the U.S.
