Redeeming behaviour: The 'Iron Man' actor said his wake up call came during his last 2001 arrest, where he realized he desperately needed to seek help. Since then he's made a major movie comeback with leading roles -- one of which garnered him an Oscar nomination.

Headline-making antics: Richie has made headlines for just about anything, including her partying, her weight, her on-and-off friendship with Paris Hilton, and, of course, her legal issues. In 2006, she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. She was sentenced to four days in jail, but only served 82 minutes of her sentence due to 'overcrowding.' -

Redeeming behaviour: Becoming a mother seems to have calmed this former wild child. She now has two children with husband Joel Madden, and the couple also started a charity and works with UNICEF.

Her erratic behaviour ranged from donning a British accent in public to alleged drug abuse. She lost custody of her kids, and eventually the court placed her under temporary conservatorship of her father.

Headline-making antics: Photos of the leggy model allegedly snorting lines of cocaine surfaced in 2005, and soon after she was dropped from a number of high fashion campaign ads.
