RCMP have released the identities of the three people killed in a vehicle crash south-west of Edmonton Monday night.

The names of the deceased are: William Saunders, 20, from the Edmonton area and Spencer Gustafson, 21, and Morgan Hetchler, 15, from the Breton area.

An 18-year-old female remains in hospital in stable condition.

The crash happened around 7:30 PM Monday night near Alsike on Highway 39 and Range Road 40.

The three deceased and the injured teen were headed south on Range Road 40 in a small car at the time.

RCMP say it appears the driver of the car went through a Stop sign at the rural intersection and was broadsided by a pickup.

The driver and only occupant of the truck suffered minor injuries in the crash, he was treated and released from hospital.
